About this scholarship
Children and spouses of workers killed in a workplace incident may apply for financial support toward post-secondary education at a U.S. university, community college, or trade/vocational school. Citizenship is not required.
Award amounts vary. Submit a 300-to-500-word essay on how the incident affected you and how the scholarship will benefit your future, plus incident documentation and transcripts. The Foundation reviews each application individually and may follow up with questions.

- 300-to-500-word essay on how the workplace incident affected the applicant and how the scholarship will benefit their future
- Current university-program transcripts or high-school transcripts
- Provide incident background and documentation for verification (must be child or spouse of someone who lost their life or was permanently disabled in a workplace incident)
- Be enrolled full-time or part-time in a university, community college, or trade/vocational school (high school applicants must provide proof of university acceptance)
- Supply transcripts of current university program or high school transcripts
- Be studying in the United States (U.S. citizenship not required)
- The Foundation reviews each application individually and may follow up with questions.
- U.S. citizenship is not required.
