About this scholarship

Female students in a finance-related program within the Faculty of Commerce and Business Administration at Douglas College may apply. One $3,500 bursary is awarded annually, with preference for single mothers, mature women returning to the workforce, or women with disabilities overcoming educational barriers.

Apply through Douglas College financial aid. Successful recipients must submit a one-paragraph biography describing personal circumstances and how the bursary will support a career in finance; the bio may be shared with the Association of Women in Finance for program promotion.

The fund began as the Minerva Foundation Bursary for Women in Finance in 2008; the Association of Women in Finance took over direct support in 2015.
