About this scholarship

Foreign-born permanent residents who are new Canadians (within 2 to 5 years), registered at a Calgary Board of Education institution for the full Grade 12 year, attending a Canadian high school for at least two years, completing high school diploma requirements within 15 months of graduation, demonstrating academic progress in Grade 12 and financial need, planning to pursue post-secondary education, and intending to obtain Canadian citizenship may apply.

One award of $2,000 is available. The Said Arrata family launched this award in 2008 to support new Canadians transitioning to post-secondary studies or trades.
