About this scholarship
College juniors, seniors, or graduate students enrolled full time who reside in or attend college in designated northeast Ohio counties and major in environmental science, conservation, natural history, nature-related subjects, or environmental law may apply.
Two merit-based awards of $2,000 each are offered annually. No more than one applicant per family.
Submit a typed application with a 250-word maximum essay and three reference letters with recommendation forms, postmarked by April 1. Students may reapply in subsequent years.

- Typed essay of 250 words or fewer
- Three reference letters using recommendation forms; at least two references must be instructors, including one in the applicant's major field
- Official college transcript(s) must be submitted with the application
- Minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale
- Three references (at least two must be instructors, one of whom must be in the applicant's major field); a letter of recommendation from each must be received by the deadline
- Must be entering the fall term as a Junior level or above at an accredited college/university at the time of the award
- Must be a full-time student
- Must reside in or attend college in Carroll, Coshocton, Stark, Tuscarawas, or Wayne County (Ohio) or a contiguous county
- Must major in a discipline related to environmental science, conservation, natural history, or nature-related subjects (incl. environmental law)
- Completed application, references, essay, and transcript must be postmarked by March 1
