About this scholarship

Single parents who are custodial caregivers and the only adult in their child's household, residing in most Arkansas counties or Bowie County, Texas, may apply for flexible aid while pursuing postsecondary education or trade training.

Awards are up to $1,600 per semester and may cover childcare, housing, car maintenance, and other indirect education costs in addition to tuition. Applicants need a high school diploma or equivalent and must not hold a bachelor's degree or higher.

File a FAFSA (unless exempt) and apply through the online portal during the fall (August 1 to September 1), spring (January 1 to February 1), or summer (May 1 to June 1, current recipients only) windows.
