About this scholarship
Graduating Arkadelphia High School seniors who qualify for the Arkansas Academic Challenge (lottery) Scholarship and plan to attend an accredited U.S. institution may receive the Arkadelphia Promise Scholarship.
The award provides up to $29,000 over four years, covering tuition and fees after the Arkansas Academic Challenge Scholarship and federal aid are applied. Freshmen receive up to $5,000 per semester; sophomores, juniors, and seniors receive up to $3,000 per semester. The scholarship is renewable for four consecutive years with a 2.5 GPA and required credit hours (27 the first year, 30 each year after).
Apply through the Arkadelphia Promise program after confirming you meet general and any additional eligibility requirements.

- Proof of applications for two outside scholarships
- Student signature; parent/guardian signature if applicant is under 18
- Complete the application form (name, date, address, ACT, GPA, graduation year, Social Security number, phone, email, parent email, gender, ethnicity, college choice)
- Indicate the grade at which continuous Arkadelphia Public Schools (APS) enrollment and continuous district residency began
- Student signature required (parent/guardian must also sign if student is under 18)
- Provide proof of application for two 'outside' scholarships (you only need to apply, not win them)
- Complete the FAFSA
- Apply for and accept the Arkansas Academic Challenge (Lottery) Scholarship (requires ACT score of 19)
- Submit by mail to Arkadelphia Promise, 401 High School Drive, Arkadelphia, AR 71923, or via an Arkadelphia Promise representative at AHS the last week of March; due April 3, 2026
- Renewal requires a 2.5 GPA and required credit hours: 27 credits in the first year and 30 credits in each subsequent year.
- Award covers remaining tuition and fees after Arkansas Academic Challenge Scholarship and federal aid are applied.
