About this scholarship

Undergraduate or graduate nursing students enrolled in Arizona programs who plan to further a nursing career in the state may apply for Arizona Foundation for the Future of Nursing (AzFFN) Academic Nursing Scholarships. Applicants must be at least 18 and may study part-time or full-time.

Awards of $2,500 are available; the number of recipients varies each year. Prelicensure BSN students, or ADN students concurrently enrolled in a BSN program, who have completed at least one BSN semester must be Student Nurses Association members and submit a 7 to 10 minute video application.

  • Submit a 7-10 minute video (landscape, neutral background, no name/school shown) responding to a content outline: (1) Introduction - bio, why pursuing nursing, where you are in BSN curriculum; (2) Pot
  • Enrolled in a prelicensure BSN program (or ADN with concurrent BSN enrollment) and completed at least one semester of BSN curriculum
  • Member of the Student Nurses Association
  • Attach current documentation of enrollment (transcript or course schedule identifying applicant and school)
  • Submit a letter of reference from a current BSN faculty member attesting to commitment to leadership and nursing practice
  • Complete the Attestation of Video Release Permissions form and submit with the video
  • Award amount: $2,500
  • Prelicensure BSN students and ADN students concurrently enrolled in a BSN program must be members of the Student Nurses Association.
  • Part-time and full-time study are permitted.
