About this scholarship

Childhood cancer survivors or sibling advocates with at least a 2.0 GPA who are graduating high school seniors or current college students may apply for the Ari's Bears Scholarship.

The award is $1,000. Submit the application form, an essay of 800 to 1,500 words, academic transcripts, physician verification of diagnosis, two non-relative letters of recommendation, records of community service and childhood cancer advocacy, proof of college enrollment when available, and a photograph.

The scholarship honors Ariella Stein, who founded Ari's Bears to deliver teddy bears to pediatric hospital patients before her death from Ewing's Sarcoma at age 11.
