About this scholarship
U.S. citizens or permanent residents who are high school seniors entering a NAAB-accredited architecture program, rising second-year students in such a program, community-college or technical-school transfers intending to enter a NAAB-accredited program, or students in the last year of a non-NAAB four-year degree planning a NAAB-accredited graduate program.
A multiyear scholarship renewable for up to five years toward tuition. Submit a resume, two recommendations, a portfolio of 3-5 creative works, and three 300-word short answers on what influenced you to become an architect, a time you positively influenced others, and how architecture can improve communities.
Created after Whitney Young Jr. challenged architects to build a more responsible field, the award invests in the next generation of architects.
