About this scholarship
Mothers age 25 or older who are primary caregivers to at least one school-age child and residents of Mecklenburg County or 11 surrounding counties in the Carolinas may apply if they are accepted or enrolled full time at an accredited college pursuing a first bachelor's degree or select two-year degrees in nursing, health careers, or information technology.
Awards are typically up to $5,500 per year and renewable for up to four consecutive years. The program also includes mentoring and professional development.
Apply November 1 through February 28 via Foundation For The Carolinas with a resume and a 350 to 500 word personal essay.
