Anona Thorne and Takao Tanabe Undergraduate Scholarship in Mathematics

For outstanding undergraduate students at UBC Vancouver who have declared a Major or Honours in Mathematics and are entering third or fourth year.

Scholarships totalling $4,000 are offered annually.

Made on the recommendation of the Department of Mathematics. No separate application.

Anona Thorne (BA Math, MSc Stats) is a UBC alumna who worked with the CIHR Canadian HIV Trials Network at St. Paul's Hospital in Vancouver. Takao Tanabe, her husband, is a well-known Canadian painter.
