About this scholarship
U.S. citizens enrolled in an accredited baccalaureate or graduate nursing or nurse anesthesia program may apply if they served in the U.S. Army, Army National Guard, or Army Reserve (without current ROTC or full GI Bill funding), or have a parent, spouse, or child with Army service. No military service obligation is required.
Selected students receive $3,000, sent directly to their school. Up to 17 awards may be granted.
Complete the online ANCA application with personal, educational, and military service details by March 31.
The Army Nurse Corps Association supports nursing students with ties to the U.S. Army.

- Personal statement of no more than two typed single-spaced pages
- No explicit word or character limit; the limit is stated as a page limit: "Statement should not exceed two typed single spaced pages" (~1000 words estimated at ~500 words per single-spaced page)
- Personal statement may be hand written or typed
- Prior recipients must rewrite the personal statement and any recommendations to reflect current circumstances; copies of previously submitted items are not acceptable
- Prior recipients must submit newly written personal statements and recommendations reflecting current circumstances.
