An Wang Postdoctoral Fellowships

Junior scholars within five years of the doctorate who study inequality, mobility, governance, ideology, or related topics on the social foundations of state power in China may apply for a one-year postdoctoral fellowship at Harvard's Fairbank Center for Chinese Studies (August 1, 2026 through July 31, 2027). Applicants need a doctoral degree by July 1, 2026 and strong Chinese and English; Harvard Ph.D. recipients are ineligible.

The fellowship includes a $67,600 annual stipend plus up to $3,000 in research funding and Harvard benefits.
