About this scholarship

Children of uniformed-services members who died on active duty or were severely wounded (Traumatic SGLI), under age 24 at application (extended by up to five years of the student's own military service, maximum age 29).

Renewable grants of at least $2,500 for up to five years of undergraduate study at an accredited two- or four-year college or university. Apply early November through noon EST March 1 each year.

Established by the MOAA Scholarship Fund after September 11, 2001, to support families affected by the loss or severe wounding of a parent in service.
