About this scholarship
Racially and ethnically diverse U.S. or Canadian citizens or permanent residents pursuing an ALA-accredited graduate degree in library and information studies, or an ALA-recognized NCATE School Library Media program, may apply. Eligible groups include American Indian/Alaska Native, Asian, Black/African American, Hispanic/Latino, Middle Eastern/North African, and Native Hawaiian/Other Pacific Islander students.
The one-time Spectrum Scholarship provides $5,000, paid in two installments. Up to 60 awards may be granted.
Apply through the ALA Scholarship Clearinghouse with transcripts and a personal statement. Applications open September 1 and close March 1.
