About this scholarship
American Legion Auxiliary Junior members in good standing for three consecutive years who are high school seniors with a minimum 3.0 GPA may apply from any of the 52 departments, including the District of Columbia and Puerto Rico.
Each department winner receives a $1,000 scholarship, with five national division winners selected for $5,000 awards in lieu of the department prize. Up to 52 department-level awards are available.
Submit a transcript, two recommendations, and a 600-character or longer essay on the stated prompt by March 1 at 11:59 p.m. Eastern.
