ALMS Dr. Ron Zurawell LakeWatch Scholarship

For full-time senior undergraduate or graduate students enrolled at Canadian universities or colleges in aquatic sciences or related disciplines connected to lake or watershed management.

One scholarship of $2,000 CAD is offered by the Alberta Lake Management Society (ALMS).

Applications are reviewed for academic achievement, major field of study, a statement of career goals, and relevance of the course of study to ALMS objectives. The recipient is expected to address the ALMS Annual General Meeting in the fall with a research progress report or another topic of mutual interest. Funds may be spent at the recipient's discretion.

The award honours Dr. Ron Zurawell, a limnologist and longtime ALMS contributor whose work advanced Alberta lake monitoring and water quality science.
