McGill University students with outstanding merit who are proceeding to degrees in any faculty may be considered for Alma Mater Scholarships. Academic standing is primary; financial need and leadership in community or school activities may also be considered.

Established in 1982 by contributions to the Alma Mater Fund from graduates who designated gifts for scholarships and student aid.
