About this scholarship
Ethnically diverse Minnesota or western Wisconsin residents accepted to or enrolled in post-high school programs pursuing medical or rehabilitation careers may apply. You need at least a 2.0 GPA and must demonstrate financial need.
Two $2,000 EMPOWER scholarships are awarded. Selection weighs stated intentions, achievements, need, and graduation ranking.
Complete the online application by April 15 with a volunteer or community service essay, financial need statement, two reference letters, and a transcript or acceptance letter.
The Courage Kenny Rehabilitation Institute administers the award to encourage minority participation in rehabilitation-focused health careers.
