About this scholarship
Pennsylvania residents who have lived in the state at least 12 months before medical school registration (excluding time at a Pennsylvania undergraduate or graduate school) and are second- or third-year students at accredited Pennsylvania medical schools may apply for the Alliance Medical Education Scholarship.
Multiple $2,500 scholarships are awarded. The number of recipients varies.
Apply July 1 through September 30 through the Foundation of the Pennsylvania Medical Society. Applicants must be Pennsylvania Medical Society and county medical society members; membership is free.

- Two reference letters from persons other than family members, documenting the applicant's integrity, interpersonal skills, and potential as a future physician
- A letter on school letterhead from the applicant's medical school verifying full-time enrollment as a second- or third-year medical student
- Eligibility: U.S. citizen; Pennsylvania resident for at least 12 months prior to registering as a medical student; second- or third-year medical student enrolled full-time at an accredited Pennsylvani
