About this scholarship

For one or more students who graduated from a secondary school in British Columbia and are entering the Peter A. Allard School of Law at UBC Vancouver. Selection recognizes leadership in connection with team sports or athletic endeavours, genuine commitment to community service, and promise of an exceptional career in the practice of law. Financial circumstances may be taken into consideration.

Memorial scholarships totalling $2,300 are awarded to one or more students; individual amounts vary. Apply through the Allard Law entrance student awards application; the awards are made on the recommendation of the Peter A. Allard School of Law.

The scholarships were endowed by family, friends and colleagues in memory of Allan McEachern (1926-2008), who served as Chief Justice of British Columbia and later as UBC's 16th Chancellor.
