Alison Ryles Memorial Suzuki Strings Award

Brandon University Conservatory Suzuki string students with at least two years of prior Suzuki enrollment may be nominated by their teacher for this memorial award.

The award amount is set annually and may be shared among recipients. Selection weighs sustained work, lesson preparation, eagerness to learn, and financial need rather than competition.

Established by friends, colleagues, and family as a memorial to Alison Ryles, founder of the Conservatory Suzuki String Program, the award reflects her philosophy that music education should not emphasize competition.
