Alexander Rutherford Scholarship

Open to Alberta residents who earned strong marks in Grades 10, 11, and 12 and enroll full time in an eligible Alberta post-secondary program.

The award pays up to $2,500 total through tiered amounts earned in each high school grade level. Funds are non-repayable and administered by Alberta Student Aid through the Alberta Heritage Scholarship Fund.

Apply once your final marks are available and you are enrolled full time. There is no fixed annual deadline; timing follows when grade results are posted and your post-secondary enrolment is confirmed.

Named for Alberta's first premier, the Alexander Rutherford Scholarship is the province's flagship high school achievement award for students moving from senior high into post-secondary study.
