Alex Newton Scholarship

Graduating high school seniors from Burke, Columbia, McDuffie, Richmond, or Warren County, Georgia who plan to enroll full-time at Augusta Technical College in a STEM associate degree program may apply for the Alex Newton Scholarship through the Community Foundation for the CSRA.

One recipient receives a $500 award, renewable for up to four consecutive semesters when renewal requirements are met.

First consideration goes to mechanical engineering technology majors. Additional consideration is given to applicants with financial need, a 3.0 or higher GPA, and community or extracurricular involvement. Submit the CFCSRA application with a letter of recommendation, unofficial transcript, and a 500- to 750-word narrative.

The scholarship honors Alex Newton and supports local students pursuing STEM education at Augusta Technical College.
