About this scholarship
Full-time or part-time Toronto Metropolitan University students (individually or as a team) who advance equity, diversity, and inclusion may be nominated. Nominees must agree to be nominated and provide evidence supporting the nomination. Recipients typically show a strong record of serving diverse populations, fostering inclusive environments in or out of the classroom, and/or addressing equity.
An individual recipient receives a certificate and $1,000. If a team is selected, $2,000 is shared equally among team members. Awards are presented at the annual Alan Shepard Equity, Diversity and Inclusion Awards Ceremony.
The Office of the Vice-President Equity and Community Inclusion created the award to recognize EDI leadership across the university community.
