About this scholarship

Concordia University Faculty of Fine Arts students registered in an electroacoustics course in the Department of Music (in the preceding academic year) who demonstrate commitment and ability in electroacoustics may receive the Alain Award in Electroacoustics.

One award is granted annually; the amount varies.

Candidates are recommended to the Undergraduate Scholarships and Awards Committee by the Department of Music; no separate student application is typically required.

The award was established in 1985 in honour of Montreal composer Alain Thibault.
