AKC Humane Fund John D. Spurling Scholarship

Full-time students enrolled at accredited U.S. institutions pursuing studies related to responsible pet ownership, such as veterinary medicine, animal behavior, grooming, training, veterinary technology, physical therapy, or animal care, may apply for the AKC Humane Fund John D. Spurling Scholarship.

Five students receive $2,000 each annually toward tuition at their accredited institution.

Submit the complete application with required documentation, including transcripts and a statement on responsible pet ownership, postmarked by the deadline.

The scholarship celebrates the human-canine bond and supports students committed to advancing animal welfare through education.
