About this scholarship
U.S. citizens or legal permanent residents transferring from a two-year college who plan to major in accounting or a related field and pursue CPA licensure may apply. You need at least a 3.0 overall and major GPA, full-time enrollment, AICPA Student Affiliate membership, and some demonstrated financial need in an accredited business or accounting program that meets CPA education requirements.
The award is $5,000. It is part of the AICPA Legacy Scholarships, and one application covers every Legacy award you qualify for.
Complete the AICPA Legacy Scholarships application with transcripts, proof of enrollment, and any other required documents by the deadline.
The AICPA Foundation established this transfer scholarship in 2013 to recognize diverse paths into the CPA profession.

- Enrolled in an accredited program meeting state CPA educational requirements

- U.S. citizen or legal permanent resident
- Provide names and contact info for two professional/academic references (at least one a professor or licensed CPA)
- Enrolled full-time (min 12 semester hours) or part-time in accounting (min 6 hours with employment)
- Award up to $5,000; application window typically Dec 1 - Mar 15
- One application is used for all eligible AICPA Legacy Scholarships.
