About this scholarship

Community-college students transferring to a four-year institution in 2026 to complete an accounting or accounting-related degree, planning CPA licensure, with at least a 3.0 GPA, some financial need, and U.S. citizenship or permanent residency may apply. AICPA Student Affiliate membership is required.

The award is $5,000, paid to the four-year school, with up to 25 recipients. It is part of the AICPA Foundation Legacy Scholars program, so one application covers all Legacy awards for which you are eligible.

Apply through the AICPA Foundation Awards portal after signing in with your ThisWayToCPA student membership. Two recommendations are required (at least one from a professor or licensed CPA).
