Eligibility
About this scholarship
Licensed CPAs with recent accounting experience who are U.S. citizens or permanent residents and are accepted to or enrolled in a full-time AACSB-accredited Ph.D. or DBA program in accounting with at least one year remaining may apply for AICPA Foundation doctoral fellowships. Applicants must intend to teach and conduct research at a U.S. accredited university and demonstrate financial need.
Twenty-five fellowships of $15,000 are awarded annually, renewable for up to three consecutive years with proof of progress. The top five recipients also receive the honorary Bill Ezzell Award.
Submit the online application with an essay on your intent to teach and conduct research, academic documents, official transcripts, a resume, and two letters of recommendation.
The AICPA Foundation established this fellowship to develop CPA role models and mentors in academia.
