About this scholarship
Architecture students at Illinois Institute of Technology, School of the Art Institute of Chicago, or University of Illinois Chicago who are entering the third or fourth year of a five-year Bachelor of Architecture program with at least two years remaining may apply for the AIA Chicago Foundation Diversity Scholarship.
Up to two recipients each receive $10,000 over two years ($5,000 per year). Each awardee is paired with an AIA Chicago mentor.
Undergraduate applicants need a 3.0 or higher GPA. Submit a 750-word statement on bringing a diverse voice to Chicago architecture, three portfolio images, two recommendations, financial documentation, and a FAFSA if eligible.
The scholarship aims to attract and retain diverse, talented young professionals in Chicago architecture.
