About this scholarship
Undergraduate students enrolled at two- or four-year institutions, especially those from under-resourced communities, may apply for the American Heart Association Scholars Program. Applicants should be entering sophomore, junior, or senior year, pursuing biomedical sciences, health care, research, or public health, and actively volunteering to address health disparities.
Scholars receive a $3,000 stipend plus mentorship, hands-on experiences, and academic support. Provide proof of enrollment, documentation of community volunteer work, and a completed application.
Empowered Scholars may also participate in speaking engagements and media opportunities arranged by the AHA.
