About this scholarship
Current college students enrolled at least part time at an institution in Alaska, Arizona, California, Idaho, Montana, Oregon, or Washington who are pursuing a degree or certificate directly tied to agriculture may apply for the AgWest Championing Agriculture Scholarship. Applicants must be U.S. citizens or legal residents and cannot be prior AgWest scholarship winners.
Recipients receive a one-time, non-renewable award of $2,500, paid to the student's financial aid office. The number of awards varies.
Submit a college transcript, a letter of recommendation from a non-family teacher or supervisor, and a one-page essay on your past advocacy for agriculture and future goals in the field through the online application.
