Against the Grain Artistic Scholarship

Asian American college students who are at least 25 percent Asian and/or Pacific Islander ethnicity and U.S. citizens, nationals, or legal permanent residents may apply. Applicants need a 3.0 GPA and must pursue a major in performing arts, visual arts, journalism, and/or mass communications as a full-time associate, bachelor's, or master's degree student at an accredited U.S. institution.

The scholarship is $1,000. High school seniors or currently enrolled college students may apply. Relatives of Against The Grain board members are not eligible.

Selection weighs essay or portfolio quality, academic performance, leadership and community service, recommendations, and a committee interview.
