About this scholarship
U.S. high school seniors attending a U.S. college or university immediately after graduation who have been impacted by Alzheimer's disease or another dementia-related illness may apply.
The grand prize is $5,000, with additional runner-up awards. More than $350,000 has been awarded since the program began.
Submit a written essay (up to 1,500 words) or video (up to 4 minutes) on how Alzheimer's has affected you, what you learned, and how you plan to raise awareness, plus a transcript, by 5:00 PM ET on the deadline.

- Either one written essay of up to 1,500 words or one video of up to 4 minutes
- Submission addressing the required Alzheimer's-awareness questions
- Applicant must be a current high school senior and U.S. citizen planning to attend an accredited U.S. college/university immediately following 2026 graduation (no gap year/semester)
- Valid high school transcript required (unofficial copy acceptable)
- Submit EITHER a written essay (1500 words max) OR a video (4 minutes max, .mp4, under 1.5GB) - not both; duplicate submissions disqualified
- Total combined file size (essay + transcript) must not exceed 2GB
- Deadline: April 1, 2026 at 5:00 PM EST
- Written essay and video are alternatives; submitting both is disqualifying.
- Video must be MP4 and under 1.5 GB.
