Adel Foundation Award in Modern Persian Literature

Outstanding UBC Vancouver students studying modern Persian literature in the Department of Asian Studies may be considered, with preference for those who have demonstrated sustained interest through coursework and/or original creative or critical work.

Endowment awards are available through the Adel Foundation Fund in honour of Mahmoud Adel-Sabzevari.

Recipients are selected on the recommendation of the Department of Asian Studies. For graduate students, the Faculty of Graduate and Postdoctoral Studies is consulted. There is no separate student application.

Mahmoud Adel-Sabzevari was a renowned author, editor, translator, and teacher whose greatest passion was Persian literature.
