ACS Undergraduate Student Scholarship

Undergraduates pursuing horticulture, plant sciences, ecology, forestry, environmental sciences, or a related major at a two-year or four-year institution, with a minimum 2.5 GPA and demonstrated interest in conifers through coursework, internships, workshops, or other work, may apply for the ACS Undergraduate Student Scholarship.

The award is $1,000 for educational purposes. Applicants must be sponsored by a current American Conifer Society member (parents or guardians may not sponsor; one applicant per sponsor per year), or submit a faculty or employer recommendation if no ACS sponsor is available. ACS national or regional officers, paid staff, and certain committee reporting persons are ineligible. An unofficial transcript is required with the application; an official transcript is needed before funds are disbursed.
