About this scholarship
The American Chemical Society's undergraduate scholarship program (successor to the 30-year ACS Scholars Program, which supported thousands of African American, Hispanic, and Native American chemists) awards renewable scholarships of up to $10,000 to students pursuing the chemical sciences who intend to enter chemistry-related careers.
Eligible applicants are graduating high school seniors or current undergraduates (freshman through senior) who are U.S. citizens or permanent residents and enrolled full-time at a U.S. high school, college, university, or community college. Funds cover tuition, room and board, fees, and books.
Applications for the 2026-2027 academic year ran December 1, 2025 through March 1, 2026, with results announced in May; the program runs annually.
