About this scholarship

New Mexico residents from Quay County, or children of Tucumcari Lodge No. 27 AF&AM members, pursuing post-secondary degrees may apply for Carl F. Scott Scholarship Fund awards through the Albuquerque Community Foundation. Awards are up to $2,100; the number of recipients varies.

Supports associate, bachelor's, master's, or doctoral study, including traditional and nontraditional students returning to school or changing careers. Eligible fields include science, human services, and technical or vocational programs for careers in northwest New Mexico. Submit the application with required documents during the open period.

Carl Scott, a New Mexico engineer and World War II veteran, established this program through his estate to help Quay County residents continue their education.
