About this scholarship
Post-secondary students enrolled full-time or part-time in a degree or certificate program when their film was made may enter the Student Academy Awards. High school students are not eligible. Films must be coursework or graduation projects (undergraduate intermediate or capstone, graduate intermediate or thesis, or final projects for associate or certificate programs), no longer than 40 minutes, and not previously entered in SAA or Academy Awards competitions. One film per year.
Gold, Silver, and Bronze awards may be given in Narrative, Documentary, Animation, and Alternative/Experimental categories, with cash grants of $5,000, $3,000, and $2,000 respectively.
