Eligibility
About this scholarship
Full-time registered Master's or doctoral students at York University whose thesis, dissertation, or major research paper touches on issues related directly or indirectly to equity may apply. Applicants must have completed all degree requirements except the major research paper, thesis, or dissertation, with a formally approved proposal (for an MRP, written approval by the supervisor or program; for a thesis or dissertation, approval by the program and the Faculty of Graduate Studies).
Up to one award of $5,000 is available (subject to change).
Apply through the Financial Aid, Awards and Scholarships (FAAS) system with a statement outlining how the research relates to equity, a letter from the supervisor or graduate program confirming proposal approval, an updated CV, and a transcript for the most recent two years of study.
Named in honour of the 20th anniversary of the Abella Commission on Equality in Employment and in celebration of Rosalie Abella's appointment to the Supreme Court of Canada.
