About this scholarship
ATA members entering or in the first year of full-time doctoral study in education at a recognized Alberta public university may apply. Applicants must hold a permanent Alberta teaching certificate, have completed at least five years of successful teaching in Alberta, and have held the highest possible ATA membership level for at least five years. They must intend to continue a career in Alberta K-12 public education and must not have received this fellowship before.
Each year the Association awards two fellowships of $15,000. Applicants cannot also apply for the Nadene M Thomas Graduate Research Bursary or the Belairdirect Scholarship in the same year.
