High school seniors planning at least 6 credits at an institute of higher learning may apply. Rhode Island residency is not required.

Up to two awards of up to $1,000. Submit an interpretive work (essay, story, or poem of 500 to 1,000 words, or audio-visual up to 10 minutes) on George Washington's 1790 letter to the Hebrew Congregation in Newport in a present-day context.
