About this scholarship
Outstanding second- or third-year J.D. students at the Peter A. Allard School of Law who demonstrate an interest in public law may apply for the A. Keith Mitchell Award in Public Law. Preference goes to students involved in student government, lobbying, moot participation, and/or clerkship. Financial need may be considered.
Awards totalling $4,550 are available through an endowment established by Farris LLP, family, and friends. The award amount varies by year.
Apply through the Allard continuing-student awards application. Awards are made on the recommendation of the Peter A. Allard School of Law.
Keith Mitchell (B.A. 1967, LL.B. 1971) was Managing Partner of Farris from 1994 to 2007 and Chair from 2007 to 2017, advising leading companies and institutions in British Columbia over nearly 50 years in law. He also served on the Dean's Advisory Council at Allard.
