3M National Student Fellowship

For full-time diploma or undergraduate students at Canadian post-secondary institutions (not graduate students) who have completed at least one full term of study and have not previously received a 3M student fellowship.

Up to 10 fellowships of $2,000 are awarded each year, plus STLHE conference registration, travel, and accommodation, a certificate and recognition at the annual STLHE conference, and a two-year STLHE membership. Awards are coordinated by the Society for Teaching and Learning in Higher Education (STLHE). A nomination package is required; UBC students also obtain a statement from the VP Students Office (Vancouver) or Associate VP Students (Okanagan) before submitting to STLHE.

The fellowship honours student leaders who show outstanding leadership and innovation in higher education. The 2026 cycle is paused; check STLHE for the next open cycle.
